Flats in Vrindavan Get 18,100 Searches a Month. Here Is the Yamuna Expressway Run Behind That Number
03 October 2026 · Rise Propworld Team
Flats in Vrindavan are one of the most searched property terms on the Yamuna Expressway corridor. We follow the road from Pari Chowk to Mathura and Vrindavan, stop by stop, and explain what buyers should check.

Here is a number most Greater Noida brokers have never looked at. Google Keyword Planner shows about 18,100 searches a month in India for "flats in vrindavan". That is more than the searches for "sector 150 noida".
People are not just visiting Vrindavan anymore. Many are looking to buy there. And the road that connects that demand to Greater Noida is the one we drive every week: the Yamuna Expressway. This is a stop by stop guide to that run, from Pari Chowk to Vrindavan, and what a buyer should know at each stop.
The demand, in one table
All figures are average monthly searches in India from Google Keyword Planner, October 2026.
| Search | Monthly searches |
|---|---|
| flats in vrindavan | 18,100 |
| villa in vrindavan | 3,600 |
| plots in vrindavan | 2,400 |
| property in vrindavan | 1,600 |
| farm house in vrindavan | 1,300 |
| property in agra | 1,000 |
Search volume is interest, not sales. But it is a clear signal that the Braj region has become a property conversation, not just a pilgrimage.
Stop 1: Pari Chowk, Greater Noida, where the expressway begins
The Yamuna Expressway starts at Pari Chowk in Greater Noida and runs 165.537 km to NH 19 at Kuberpur near Agra, according to Wikipedia. It is six lanes wide and opened on 9 August 2012. Cars can do 100 km/h, heavy vehicles 60 km/h.
This is our home end of the corridor. Projects like Hero Homes Sector MU, at the junction of the FNG, Noida Greater Noida and Yamuna expressways, sit right at the start of the run.
Stop 2: Sector 22D and the airport stretch
A short drive south brings you to the YEIDA sectors and the Noida International Airport, which Wikipedia notes lies on the side of the expressway. In Sector 22D, our Eldeco Echoes of Eden page lists 2, 3 and 4 BHK homes from ₹1.16 crore to ₹2.2 crore, about 17 km from the airport, with RERA number UPRERAPRJ125342.
For a full comparison of this stretch with the Noida side, read our Sector 150 Noida vs Sector 22D breakdown.
Stop 3: Jewar and Tappal junctions
Wikipedia lists the expressway's main junctions as NH 334DD at Jewar, NH 334D at Tappal, NH 530B at Mathura and NH 509 at Khandauli. Jewar is the airport town. Tappal is where the corridor starts feeling rural, with farmland on both sides.
This is also the stretch where the long drive begins to matter. Our data look at Yamuna Expressway accident numbers found that fatigue is linked to about 44% of crashes. If you are driving down for site visits, start fresh, not after a full day at work.
Stop 4: the Mathura junction
At the NH 530B junction you leave the expressway for Mathura. The YEIDA toll table, as listed in our Greater Noida to Agra road guide, shows a car toll of ₹155 for the Mathura plaza. Check the latest rate before you travel, because tolls are revised.
Stop 5: Vrindavan
Wikipedia places Vrindavan about 9 km from Mathura, 54 km from Agra and 129 km from New Delhi, on the west bank of the Yamuna. Its 2011 census population was 63,005.
What pulls people here is obvious once you arrive:
- Banke Bihari Temple, built in 1862 according to Wikipedia.
- Prem Mandir, a marble temple complex on 54 acres.
- ISKCON's Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir in Raman Reti.
- Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir, which Wikipedia describes as under construction at a cost of ₹300 crore, planned as the tallest temple in the world.
The Banke Bihari corridor: what is actually happening
Every Vrindavan property pitch now mentions the temple corridor. Here is what the record says.
Vrindavan Today reported on 23 May 2026 that the corridor covers about 4.74 acres around the temple, with roughly 273 buildings in the acquisition zone. After ten months, only 14 properties had been registered, covering 1,386 square metres. The report called the slow pace of registrations a major obstacle, and said the corridor is meant to safely hold nearly 10,000 devotees at a time once complete.
The legal path has been bumpy too. Deccan Herald reported that on 8 August 2025 the Supreme Court recalled its earlier order allowing the state to use ₹500 crore of temple funds for the corridor, and set up a committee headed by a former High Court judge to manage the temple.
So the honest summary: the corridor is a real project, but slow and contested. Anyone selling you a flat on the promise that "the corridor opens next year" is ahead of the facts.
Before you buy flats in Vrindavan: our checklist
- Verify the UP RERA number on the official portal for any project with more than eight units.
- Check local approvals. Ask for the building plan approved by the Mathura Vrindavan Development Authority and verify it with the authority.
- Check the land use. Farmhouse and plot deals around the city often sit on agricultural land. Our agricultural land checklist applies in Mathura too, including the UP land record portals.
- Ignore corridor hype in pricing. Pay for what exists today: road access, water, power and completion status.
- Think about use. A holiday home for family visits, a retirement base and a rental unit for pilgrims need very different locations.
Why a Greater Noida firm writes about Vrindavan
Because the corridor is one market. We argued this in our long read on why the Yamuna Expressway corridor is UP's next big story. A family in Greater Noida West thinking about a second home in Vrindavan, a farmhouse near Greater Noida like Prakriti Luxury Farm Houses, or a flat in Sector 22D near the airport is often weighing all three at once. We work the whole stretch, from Greater Noida to Jewar, Mathura and Agra, so we can compare them honestly. For the latest authority decisions along the corridor, see our explainer on YEIDA's 92nd board meeting.
