8 Places to Visit in Greater Noida This Season, Starting With the Village That Mourns Ravana
03 October 2026 · Rise Propworld Team
A Ravana temple, a bird sanctuary, a Formula One track and a Venice themed mall. Our verified list of places to visit in Greater Noida this season, with what to know before you go.

On 20 October, most of India will burn Ravana. In one village inside Greater Noida West, people will be praying for his soul.
That village is Bisrakh, and it is the perfect place to start this list. Greater Noida gets judged as "flats and highways", but there is a lot more here if you know where to look. These are eight places to visit in Greater Noida that we have checked against official or published sources, with a short note on who each one suits.
How we picked these places to visit in Greater Noida
We only included places that we could confirm exist and are operating, using sources such as the Gautam Buddh Nagar district website, UP Ecotourism, Wikipedia and current ticketing listings. Where timings or fees are not published, we say so instead of guessing. Places that run only on event days are marked clearly.
1. Bisrakh Ravan Mandir, Greater Noida West
Best for: culture, curiosity and one of NCR's most unusual Dussehra stories.
According to Wikipedia, Bisrakh Jalalpur is a village near Kisan Chowk in Greater Noida West. Local legend holds it to be the birthplace of Ravana, and the name is linked to his father, the sage Vishravas. The Gautam Buddh Nagar district website also refers to the ancient temple of Ravana's father in Bisarak.
Wikipedia notes several temples in the village described as over 1,000 years old, including a Swayambhu Shiva linga said to have been worshipped by Ravana and Vishravas. The octagonal linga is described as rising 2.5 feet above the ground and extending 8 feet below.
The Dussehra angle is what makes it famous. Instead of burning effigies, Wikipedia says the village observes Navratri as a period of mourning, with prayers and yagna for Ravana's soul, and locals avoid staging a Ramlila. Dussehra falls on 20 October in 2026.
Please visit respectfully. This is a living place of worship, not a photo set.
2. Surajpur Wetland
Best for: birdwatchers, photographers and slow mornings.
UP Ecotourism lists about 180 bird species here, with November to March as the best time to visit, and places the wetland about 3 km from Greater Noida. It is also recognised as an Important Bird Area, according to Drishti IAS. Timings and fees are not on the official page, so call the Range Forest Officer, Dadri, on 9711809979 before you go.
We wrote a complete Surajpur Wetland local guide with the bird list, distances and what to carry.
3. The Grand Venice Mall, near Pari Chowk
Best for: families, rainy days and a movie.
This is the Venice themed mall near Pari Chowk. It is open and running: the District ticketing app lists current showtimes at Cinepolis The Grand Venice Mall for early October 2026, at Plot SH 3, Site IV, near Pari Chowk. Pair it with dinner and you have an easy evening.
4. Buddh International Circuit
Best for: motorsport fans, on event days.
Wikipedia describes the 5.125 km circuit with 16 turns in Jaypee Sports City. It hosted the Formula One Indian Grand Prix from 2011 to 2013 and MotoGP in 2023. It is still active for events: Autocar Professional reported that SUPRA SAEINDIA 2026, a student engineering competition with 66 teams, was held here from 2 to 5 September 2026.
Important: this is not a walk-in attraction on ordinary days. Check event listings before you plan a trip.
5. India Expo Centre and Mart, Knowledge Park
Best for: trade shows, expos and big public fairs.
Wikipedia notes that India Expo Mart hosted the Auto Expo from its 12th to 15th editions, in 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020. Today it runs a busy calendar of trade and consumer exhibitions. What is on depends on the week, so check our updated Greater Noida exhibition calendar before you go.
6. City Park
Best for: walks, jogging and a free evening outdoors.
City Park is one of Greater Noida's best known green spaces, and we covered it alongside other green spots in our guide to the best parks in Greater Noida. If you prefer two wheels, our story on Greater Noida's cycling clubs tells you where the morning rides go.
7. Dronacharya's Dankaur
Best for: mythology lovers and a short drive south.
The Gautam Buddh Nagar district website lists Dankaur among the area's heritage places for its association with Dronacharya, the teacher of the Pandavas and Kauravas in the Mahabharata. A Dronacharya temple at Dankaur is listed on local directories. It is a quiet, local place, so go with curiosity rather than a tourist checklist.
8. The Bhagat Singh memorial at Nalgarha
Best for: history and a pause from the city.
The district website records that Bhagat Singh carried out bomb testing at Nalgarha village, along the Noida Greater Noida Expressway, while in hiding, and that a large stone monument commemorates it. Few people driving the expressway every day know this story is right beside them.
A simple Greater Noida weekend plan
- Saturday early morning: Surajpur Wetland while the birds are active.
- Saturday afternoon: lunch and a movie at the Grand Venice Mall.
- Sunday morning: a walk or ride at City Park.
- Sunday late morning: Bisrakh temple, respectfully.
- Sunday evening: coffee and dinner in Greater Noida West. Our Greater Noida West nightlife guide has the list.
Why we wrote a tourism list on a real estate website
Because where you live is not just your flat. It is what your weekends look like. Greater Noida has history, green space, sport and a growing food scene, and most buyers never see it because they only visit for the sample flat. We also think this city deserves to be seen on its own terms, which is the argument we make in our opinion piece, Greater Noida is not Noida's backyard.
If you want to live close to all of this, our listed options include ready to move ATS HomeKraft Happy Trails in Greater Noida West, Pride Hotel Suites in Delta 2 near the Delta 1 metro station, and Godrej Crown Residences in Godrej Golf Links.
